Bakers Beware! (of possible explosion…)

THE BIG APPLE PANCAKE In the oven
THE BIG APPLE PANCAKE In the oven

Today I had a pancake that turned into a bowl when I baked it! It is a “BIG APPLE PANCAKE”, recipe of our good friend, Mrs.O’Donnell. Firstly, thank you so much to Mrs. O’Donnell for giving me this recipe. It is the best homemade breakfast that I have ever had! At first, when I looked at all the batter before it went into the oven, I thought it wouldn’t be enough for all three of us, my brother, Mom, and me. (My Dad is on a work trip). But it turned out perfect! in the oven, when it started puffing up and making a bowl shape, it looked like it was going to explode! When we took it out, we shoveled all the cinnamon-covered apples into the bowl-like crust. Then, we dragged my brother out of bed. I will tell you, it was the most tasty breakfast I have ever set eyes on. And that was only seeing it. It was so delicious after eating it that I had two servings!

Tip: Wake up your brother, or all your brothers, before serving it, because if you don’t, you will end up having to wait a long time for them to wake up themselves.

Rating: 10 out of 10!

  2. Henry, Mrs. O’Donnell must be some kind of baker since you don’t seem to give 10 out of 10 easily. I also thought this blog a bit of a chuckle so I’m glad you’re having fun with it.

  3. Mrs. O’Donnell gave us the Great Apple Pancake years ago, when my children were your age! They now make it for their own children for breakfast…GAP, for short, makes a pretty magical presentation, in all its puffiness! Your blog is terrific – keep cooking, writing and taking photos!
